Susan Collard founded Asheville Contemporary Dance Theater in 1979 and, now at 82, is still going strong. Like much of her previous work, Collard makes dances about women’s empowerment.
Here, we step into a rehearsal for “Gloria,” the new work premiering Sept. 25-27 at the Bebe Theatre, and talk with Susan about her creative motivations.
