One year after awarding Arts Business Relief Grants to 136 arts businesses across this region, ArtsAVL says most recipients have reopened but many are still recovering. Of the 97 businesses that responded to a follow-up survey, nearly 88% are fully open and another 9% are partially open. One business closed permanently.
While about 39% report revenues above pre-hurricane levels, more than half say they’re still below where they were before the storm. Since Helene, ArtsAVL has distributed more than $2 million in relief funding across the region.
