ArtsAVL has released county-by-county reports tracking Western North Carolina's creative economy after Hurricane Helene. The reports examine 2025 data across 28 counties. They show creative employment rose to nearly 35,000 jobs, while sales fell to about $3 billion and earnings declined to roughly $1 billion.
A separate survey found most grant-supported arts businesses had reopened, but more than half still reported revenue below pre-storm levels.
